You may be wondering where we’ve been.

I wish I could say we were off on some wild spending spree, stocking up on great releases from past and present to wow you with our hockey card knowledge. I wish I could say we were gathering funding to make Cardboard Hockey the best hockey card news site and podcast in the world.

Sadly, the answer is far less exciting. We were just… busy. With life. And shit. You know how it is.

But, hey! Look at this killer new website we’ve got! Not only has Jason done a bang up job making it look incredible, but we actually have plans for content. While we work on getting the podcast back on track (think of the first two episodes as a trial run), we’re going to be writing on a regular basis. I’ve got plans for some long form content, and Jason is still young enough to have that 2am energy and will probably churn out some quality rants a couple times a week. We’ve got a couple reviews in the pipeline as well.

Jason and I had big ideas for Cardboard Hockey right from the beginning, but we forgot to take off our skate guards before we hit the ice. We’ve picked ourselves up, re-checked the game plan, and are ready to go. We are looking forward to an exciting 2025, and the hobby still has some great releases coming in the 2024-25 season. Everything we’ve done to this point was the pre-game warm up. We’ve stretched, and gotten our laps in, and are all set for the puck drop. Grab your snacks and beverage of choice, and get ready — it’s game time!
